Health Awareness and Rural Girls Education Initiative is a non-governmental, non-partisan, non-profit, and non-political association founded in 2016. Its central guiding idea is the creation of awareness, youth mobilization, Education, Health, Gender, and empowerment for an informed humanity in health, education, environmental, and social terms.
Who We Are
Health Awareness and Rural Girls Education Initiative (HARGEI) is a non-governmental, non-partisan, and non-profit organization founded in 2016 and formally registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC/IT/112404) in 2018.
Our mission is to empower girls and promote healthier communities through education, awareness, and social engagement. We work to create opportunities that enable young girls—especially in rural areas—to access quality education, health resources, and mentorship that foster academic success, confidence, and leadership.
HARGEI operates through a multidisciplinary approach that connects Health, Education, Gender, Environment, and Community Development. By combining advocacy, social mobilization, and direct interventions, we address key challenges affecting girls and vulnerable populations across Jigawa State and beyond.
